On 23rd March, 2021, Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held an Opening Day and Reception at Beijing Headquarter, inviting diplomats, government representatives, international organizations, international Chambers of Commerce and multinational enterprises, experts, scholars and friends from the media to gather together on an enchanting day of spring after the pandemic. Two fascinating short films, “In Search of Kungfu·Highlights” and “iSING! Ancient Tang Poems”, were displayed to promote cultural exchanges in a unique manner. Mr. Wang Guangfa, Chairman of Fazheng Group, was invited to attend the event.
Both “In Search of Kungfu·Highlights” and “iSING! Ancient Tang Poems” have dived into Chinese culture by adopting a global view to explore communication and mutual understanding between China and the outside world. As a window to Chinese culture, China’s Kungfu has been constantly studied but rarely touched at its core. Mr. Long Zhian(Laurence), American documentary filmmaker, has directed the film in quest of showcasing the essence of Chinese culture and exploring global understanding. The “iSING! Ancient Tang Poems” directed by Mr. Tian Haojiang, a member of Committee of 100 and a Broadway opera singer, features young international singers performing classical Chinese poetry in the form of western opera. The combination of modern music and Tang Poems spurs the mighty power of ancient Tang poems.
Mr. Wang Guangfa then discussed and communicated with guests from different sectors to propose advice to China with a global view, and put forward suggestions embedded with Chinese wisdom to the world.
Twenty Ambassadors, Envoys, Counselors and diplomats from over forty countries as well as representatives from international organizations including the UN were also present at the event.
